Modern life has created a lot of wonderful comforts and conveniences, but they’re not without consequences and as a result, all humans are now exposed to hundreds of endocrine disrupting and gut damaging chemicals every single day. And due to cosmetics and cleaning products in particular, women are taking the biggest hit. While most of this is beyond our individual control, there are certain steps each of us can take to reduce and prevent further harm.

With countless options to choose from for every product, it can be confusing to know what actually works and who to trust. As a start, I recommend looking up your current products using the EWG’s Skin Deep Cosmetics Database or the app Think Dirty to become familiar with the chemicals you’re currently exposing yourself to. I am also sharing my personal lineup of cosmetics and household products below, including all that I’ve vetted and/or am actively using (subject to change).
